An unfortunate side effect of E3 slowly slipping out of relevance is that everyone and their aunty now wants a piece of the pie. There are roughly five billion digital gaming events now — including Sony's State of Play broadcasts — meaning we're never too far away from the next listen of the YouTube countdown music. Anyway, the Future Games Show, which has been running showcases every six months or so for a good couple of years now, returns later this month.
Airing on 24th March at 3pm PDT / 6pm EDT / 10pm GMT, the show will apparently bring light to more than 40 games, eight of which will be world premieres. There's no word yet on which games might appear, but this will be a multiformat show, so will of course feature plenty of PlayStation 5 and PS4 titles.
That's about all we know for now, but there will apparently be social media reveals of games coming to the show in the run up, so watch out for that. Are you excited for Future Games Show? Tell us in the comments section below.

Atleast these third party showcases have new games to show and bring some kind of excitement. Unlike the majority of Sonys SOP that usually come out flat and leave most people feeling underwhelmed. I think if it weren't for these type of third party showcases, we as PS gamers would have very little to look forward to.
Sega will be in it.
Hogwarts Legacy has gotta be shown.
Expect a glut of pixel art roguelikes, card based battlers, "immersive, narrative-driven" walking simulators, and one or two standouts that look awesome but you'll probably forget about by the time they launch.
Slightly kidding of course but I agree, too many of these things to really get excited about.
@redd214 All of these genres sound more interesting than open world games like Horizon imo
@Bismarck awesome bud, then I'm sure this'll be a great show for ya!
Future Games Show has been typically dull the past few years, but I’m not sure if that’s the show’s fault or because it’s not had the content to promote. Hopefully we see some interesting games. It’s weird to say, in the technically third year of the PS5 and XSX, that the Switch arguably still has most momentum with its release schedule.
@somnambulance that's a very loose, you could even say incorrect use of the word technically. They've only been out for a year and a half.
I don't recall this show. I hope for one game of interest to me. That's all I ask. One.
@Balosi Perhaps. I’m using that term to apply release titles and the year of 2022 as a whole rather than “up to this point.” Either which way, this is the first console generation that feels like it hasn’t come close to catching on fully in the second full year of a console. It’s out of trend for releases to be primarily cross-gen by this point in a new console’s lifespan, that’s all I’m saying.
Always love to see more gaming events, bring them on!
